L.J. Tidwell Forge is located in the beautiful Rockland Valley of southeastern Idaho. My background has always been rooted in hard work, creativity, and craftsmanship.

I began my career as a steel designer, contributing to the construction of mining facilities, skyscrapers, hospitals, schools, and churches. Later, I transitioned into agriculture, where I applied engineering, design, and technology to help growers better understand and meet the needs of individual plants.

Throughout that journey, I developed skills in design, fabrication, welding, and traditional blacksmithing. Today, I bring those experiences together to design and build a wide variety of custom projects—from functional tools and handcrafted knives to decorative ironwork, forged pieces, and one-of-a-kind fabrications.

Traditional blacksmithing techniques are used to create decorative and functional pieces including hooks, hardware, wall décor, fireplace accessories, and custom forged items. Whether rustic, western, or modern in style, each piece is uniquely crafted by hand.

Custom ornamental iron projects including gates, railings, architectural accents, and decorative metal features. I work closely with customers to create pieces that complement their homes, businesses, and landscapes while providing lasting strength and beauty.

Furniture & Functional Metalwork

Custom tables, stands, shelving, and other functional pieces designed to blend craftsmanship with everyday utility. These projects combine strong fabrication practices with thoughtful design to create furniture that is both attractive and durable.

Agricultural & Ranch Fabrication

Built for the demands of rural life, I fabricate and modify equipment, trailers, tools, and specialty projects for farms and ranches. Practicality, reliability, and serviceability are always a priority.
